Premier appoints new CEO

Premier Oilfield Laboratories, LLC (PREMIER) is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Bell as CEO, beginning August 21, 2017. Matt spent the first half of his 20+ year oilfield career with Shell International E&P. He completed assignments in The Netherlands, Venezuela, Oman, and the USA in various engineering and technology positions.  He helped deploy emerging technologies into Shell’s global operating units and, after leading a successful project through the company’s Gamechanger® program, transferred into the corporate venture capital group, Shell Technology Ventures (STV).

In 2007, Matt left Shell to join GEODynamics Inc, a start-up company commercializing disruptive wellbore perforating technology. After becoming President and CEO in 2009, he grew the company’s revenues to $80+mm in just four years. Matt then joined Ikon Science Americas.  There he oversaw the company’s restructuring efforts during the oil industry downturn while simultaneously helping develop and launch products and workflows aimed at onshore unconventional resource plays. Matt holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
