Advanced Core Flood Simulations & Compatibility Testing
From Aberdeen and Houston to Cairo and Abu Dhabi, the PREMIER COREX Formation Damage Group provides core flood simulations and compatibility testing to evaluate the effects of fluids and chemicals on wellbore productivity. We examine fluid interactions from topside facilities to the reservoir, assessing rock-fluid dynamics under realistic downhole conditions to help reduce operational risk.
Using representative core samples and actual wellbore fluids, we test a broad range of materials—including drilling and completion fluids, kill pills, and acids—ranking their performance to guide selection. Our CT imaging and geological expertise generate detailed 3D models of near-wellbore alteration, helping to identify and quantify changes critical to optimizing flow for both production and injection. This enables early detection of potential issues and supports targeted preventative or remedial strategies to enhance reservoir recovery or injection performance, including applications such as carbon sequestration.
